The world

One basement.
Infinite leverage.

The physical world is the root layer of pumpdotfam. Screens, apps and charts only exist while you're sitting at a device — stand up, and you're a person in a room again. That ordering is canon, and everything below obeys it.

Mom's basement

Every run starts here: a 3D basement with your desk, your machines, and the staircase you'd rather not think about. In build 0.22.0 you can walk it, sit at the laptop, and boot into Phomo.

The basement is built as a persistent room with upgradeable slots — as you climb, individual objects swap for better ones. The room stays yours; the gear stops being embarrassing.

Mom believes you are a finance major. The basement believes nothing.

The device layer

Phomo OS

Phomo is the game's fictional operating system — the thing that boots when you sit at the laptop, and the thing that fills your screen if you're playing on a phone. Build 0.22.0 ships the shell and the first apps: boot sequence, desktop, wallpaper, notifications, Task Manager, a six-app dock, and the Leave/Lock flow back to the room.

Concept — target direction
Concept art of Phomo OS on a desktop monitor and a phone: dark desktop with a dock of apps — ChaseBags, pumpdotfam, Fantom, Glitch, Receipts — and notifications like RENT DUE FRIDAY
Concept, not gameplay: the canonical direction for the Phomo shell — deadpan, premium, quietly hostile notifications ("RENT DUE FRIDAY"). Glitch and the pumpdotfam markets app in this dock are still roadmap.

Shipped shell

Boot, desktop, wallpaper, notification center, Task Manager and Bag Pulse are in the live build — a real little OS in your browser, on a laptop or in your hand.

Apps, arriving

ChaseBags (bank) and Fantom (wallet, trading live) have landed. The pumpdotfam casino and Glitch (streaming) come as their systems come online — no app ships before the economy under it is real.

Weak hardware, sharp OS

Canon rule: your starter gear pressures the character, never the controls. Phomo always feels crisp — the lag is in your life, not your cursor.

Beyond the stairs

The neighborhood
(the degen circuit)

Planned canon for the world outside: a small orbit of places that keep a broke streamer alive. None of it is walkable yet — this is where the game is headed.

Concept — planned
Concept art: isometric night neighborhood with Ext Liquidity U campus, a Quick-E Mart, a Copium Rx pharmacy, Diamond Hands Pawn, The OTC back lot, and a house with a lit basement
Concept, not gameplay: the planned degen circuit — and yes, that lit-up cutaway at the bottom is your basement.

🎓 Ext Liquidity U

The campus. You never enrolled — you go to meet people and promote a Glitch channel with single-digit viewers. Mom must never learn either fact.

🏪 The 24/7

Overpriced gas-and-liquor store. Energy drinks at extortion pricing — the true carry trade of the early game.

💊 Copium Rx

The pharmacy. For when the candles are red and the cope must be dispensed in regulated doses.

🤝 Street contacts

Recurring characters on the circuit — tips, favors, and problems that compound like bad debt.

Series art — "made it." The bathrobe is load-bearing.

Art direction

Deadpan Liquidity

The world's visual law: premium software polish, memes on the second read. Phomo looks like an OS you'd actually pay for; the neighborhood glows like a real night street — and then you notice the pharmacy is called Copium Rx.

No sticker-bomb, no clown-colored HUDs. The joke lands harder when the frame is straight-faced.
